You will constantly catch me quoting my signature phrase "game is all that matters", which I know to be true. However, that does not mean that you do not need to try to look your best once you've become skilled at picking up women.
Being able to look YOUR absolute best should be a part of your game, and will give you an advantage over most men. Many men seem to lack in this area, simply because of the fact that they are not aware of how important small flaws in appearance are to women, and believe me when I tell you this... they always notice them.
Brushing your teeth and bathing daily should not even need to be said, but some men still fail to perform these no-brainers, and if you fall into that category you need to start performing these tasks immediately if you want to become a player.
Get your hair cut on a regular basis. I prefer to have mine cut every other Thursday so it is fresh for that weekend. Don't be afraid to have your hair style changed every-so-often, you will be very pleased with the impact it will have on your appearance, and because you have that "brand new" style... more women will notice you.

Working out always helps, but is not required. Women will always find muscles attractive because it is simply their natural instinct, just like we are naturally attracted to large breasts. I'm not just talking out lifting weights though, having some kind of cardiovascular activity (like running) in your daily routine is essential to staying in shape, and greatly increases your sexual performance.
I recommend dancing as a replacement for running because you will meet tons of women at night clubs, and women love a man who can dance.
Keep your fingernails clean and neat, women will almost always notice a man's fingernails. It depends on the particular woman, but many will be extremely turned off if yours are dirty or nasty looking.
Shave every day, or at least before you are going out. Women hate lazy men, and un-kept facial hair is viewed as a sign of laziness. Shave in the shower under hot water (no shaving cream required). The warm water softens your hairs, allowing you to shave against the grain for that super smooth feel without getting any of those nasty razor bumps.
One last thing... pull out those nose hairs! I know it sucks, but "You gotta do what you gotta do" :)
